Transport of the bodywork on a pallet system with variable level adjustment.

The pallets are fed via 2 push operated lines (Ergoline 1/Ergoline 2) to the individual work units. Loading/unloading the pallets is carried out by 2 lifting systems at the start of line 1 and end of line 2 respectively. Each of the pallets is transferred by means of a corner transfer unit at the end of the line. Vehicle passages for forklift trucks or driverless systems are provided at the face ends of the set-up, in order to ensure a supply along the line. Pallets cross these passages by means of 2 shuttles moving in opposing directions.

Pallets are transported along the line without gaps. This permits the use of a combination of a pushing drive at the start of each line and a brake system at the end of each line. Pallets are fed quickly to the push-driven line by means of an Andock station and removed quickly by an Andock station. Two incremental transducers per line monitor the Andock process. 49 pallets run in a system.

The system is design so that its functioning is ensured when one pallet is missing.
